Oakham School Prepare for the Peacock
Oakham School students and staff volunteered today to clear the circular bed at Oakham Library in preparation for the installation of the peacock.
Students Briana Che, Tom Tsang, Harry Clinch and Lizzie Teasdale, together with member of staff Jane Paddock, worked hard to clear the beds. The heuceras from the bed were planted elsewhere around the library and the other plants are being stored very kindly by John Hemmings until the peacock is in place and they can be replanted.
Oakham In Bloom’s Gardening Co-ordinator, Teresa Thompson said “Everyone worked so hard, we were really pleased with how much we got done and I’d like to thank everyone at Oakham School for their continued support of Oakham In Bloom projects.”
